Not being raised in church, I didn’t hear many of these wonderful hymns of another time. This allowed me to love them for what they said instead of hearing them over and over until they lost their meaning. The ones I picked were just the ones that spoke to my spirit as I pondered what must have been in the hearts of those who wrote them. I spent many tearful sessions as I tried to honor these beautiful sacrifices and still make them my own.

Mixed in with these songs are four of my own that I felt to add. My hope is to release to another generation the blessings of God, while assuring them that Jesus is ever whispering their names to the Father.

The song “Suddenly” came to me as a prophetic reminder of those who have sacrificed and prayed, for they will see the purpose of God come suddenly. “Whenever I Stop” is also a reminder that the praise of God can never stop or all things will fall.

May this music bless you as you listen to several past and present generations offer a sacrifice of praise to the King.
